Where: HarborWalk Village, 34 Harbor Boulevard, Destin
Cost: The afternoon street carnival is free
HarborWalk Village on Destin Harbor is hosting its annual Halloween Spooktacular the weekend before Halloween. Destin-Fort Walton Beach’s listing describes a free street carnival with a spooky scavenger hunt, fall carnival games, an obstacle bounce house and trick-or-treating along the waterfront. The Emerald Grande’s calendar also mentions a costume contest on the main stage.
From Miramar Beach it’s a straight run west on US 98 to the harbor. It’s also the last full weekend of the Destin Fishing Rodeo, so you can catch the weigh-ins at the docks while you’re there.
Confirm before you go: Destin-Fort Walton Beach’s event listing listed this event as scheduled when we checked on October 16, 2026, one week after Hurricane Isaias made landfall near Destin. Most of the area has reopened, but recovery work continues in places, so check the organizer’s page for last-minute changes before you head out.
