October 16, 2026
When: Friday, October 30, 2026, 6 to 9 p.m.
Where: The Lawn at Destin Commons, Destin
Cost: Destin Commons doesn’t list an admission price
Destin Commons is turning its lawn into The Curious Garden, a Wonderland-themed Halloween night with roaming characters, kids’ and adults’ costume contests, face painting, cotton candy and a live DJ. Trick-or-treating runs from 6 to 9 p.m. at candy stations and participating stores, and prize drawings are at 7 and 8 p.m.
Families can also pick up a “Find the White Rabbit” scavenger hunt card and work through participating locations for a reward. Destin Commons notes that activities and prizes are subject to availability while supplies last, so arriving early helps.
It’s the same night as Baytowne Wharf’s Hocus Pocus movie on the lawn, so pick the one closer to where you’re staying.
Confirm before you go: Destin Commons’ Happenings page listed this event as scheduled when we checked on October 16, 2026, one week after Hurricane Isaias made landfall near Destin. Most of the area has reopened, but recovery work continues in places, so check the organizer’s page for last-minute changes before you head out.
