Where: Emerald Coast Theatre Company, 560 Grand Boulevard, Suite 200, Miramar Beach
Emerald Coast Theatre Company opens 2027 with 9 to 5: The Musical, based on the 1980 film that made Dolly Parton a pop-culture star. Three overworked secretaries turn the tables on their boss, with songs including the Grammy-winning “9 to 5,” “Backwoods Barbie” and “Get Out and Stay Out.”
The theatre is at Grand Boulevard, so it’s easy to pair a matinee or evening show with dinner in the town center. Tickets are sold through ECTC’s website.
Post-storm note: this listing was written October 12, 2026, three days after Hurricane Isaias made landfall near Destin. Recovery work is still under way around Miramar Beach, so check the organizer’s page for any changes before you go.
