Baytowne’s Lantern Parade is a hands-on holiday event. Artist Chantelle Rytter and the Krewe of the Grateful Gluttons lead a dozen giant lantern puppets through the Village, and anyone who brings a lantern can join the procession. Spectators can watch from anywhere along the route.
Baytowne also lets you decorate a golf cart and ride in the parade; registration details are on the Village calendar. After the parade, the puppets gather by the Christmas tree. The Village notes that more 2026 details are coming soon.
Post-storm note: this listing was written October 12, 2026, three days after Hurricane Isaias made landfall near Destin. Recovery work is still under way around Miramar Beach, so check the organizer’s page for any changes before you go.
